      The fax machine has a pretty interesting history, spanning from it's early beginnings of Alexander Bain creating a fax transmitter in 1843.  It has been under theorizing that Queen Victoria could have said "I'll drop you a fax" had the history of telecommunications went take a different path.  Throughout the years, it's interconnectivity and pervasiveness in the business sector has become international.  It is also used for research, media, and education.  It (like any technology) has both positive and negative effects upon society...
