Global Positioning Systems

Lost is not a pleasant word. When was the last time you found yourself in an unfamiliar corner of the town and tried to find your way out?  However, with the assistance of the Global Positioning System (GPS), never lost could be true to all of us in near future.

GPS is a space-based radio navigation system. It overcomes the limitations of current navigation systems and provides users with highly accurate position and time informations. Locating forest fire, surveying the land, monitoring animal migration, controlling air traffics, or organizing emergency rescue, GPS plays valuable role in Canadian society.
